The Pole of Cold Festival

Route: Yakutsk - Tomtor - Oymyakon- Khandyga - Yakutsk

PROGRAM:

Day 1. Arrival at Yakutsk. Meeting in airport, transfer to a hotel, dinner. Rest.

Day 2. Flight in v.Tomtor on A-410 airplane. Flight duration 2,5 hour. Accomodation in families (2 persons per a family). Lunch with families. Excursion on Tomtor. Seeing a museum of ice sculptures, the winter residence of Chyskhan (symbol and ruler of Cold), seeing GULAG museum, House of Santa Claus. Taking part in basic events of the holiday — national contests of reindeer breeders, races on deer, contests and competitions, concerts. Dinner and night in families.

Day 3. Breakfast with families. Continuation of holiday. Participating in ice-fishing. Night in a hotel.

Day 4. Breakfast. Transfer to Oymyakon. Excursion on a settlement, receipt of testifying the visit of Cold Pole. Lunch in Oymyakon. Journey to horse-breeding farm, at will — riding Yakutian horses. At evening — transfer to Tomtor. Dinner in a hotel.

Day 5. Flight to Yakutsk. Transfer from airport to a hotel, accomodation. Lunch in a restaurant. Acquaintance with Yakutsk. Review program, seeing Museum of Mammoth. Dinner.

Day 6. Breakfast. The program in Yakutsk: Visit of exhibition «Treasury of Yakutia», Visiting underground reservoure of permafrost (-4 of Сelcius). Visiting diamond-cutting factory. Shopping. Visiting «Chochur-Muran» complex, acquaintance with the culture of Russian cossacks – pioneer explorers of the area. Riding dog sledges, snowmobiles. Farewell dinner in a restaurant of the complex.

Day 7. Early breakfast, departure to airport. Flight from Yakutsk.
