Route: Yakutsk - Elanka - Lena Pillars - Yakutsk

PROGRAM

Day 1. Arrival at Yakutsk. Hotel accommodation. Rest. Dinner.

Day 2. Breakfast in a hotel. Review excursion in the city. Visiting Mammoth Museum, Treasury of Yakutia. Lunch in a restaurant. Visit to underground gallery of permafrost (-4 degrees оf Сelcius). Visiting diamond cutting factory. In the evening — transfer to ethnographic complex “Yakut farmstead” in Ytyk Khaia locality. Acquaintance with Yakut culture, music, and customs. Folk ritual of feeding the spirit of fire, excursion on wood buildings, traditional dinner. Transfer to hotel. Night in hotel.

Day 3. Breakfast in a hotel. Departure by car to v.Elanka (150 km), the first coachman uyezd (district) in the territory of Yakutia. Lunch on arrival. Accomodation in farmhouse, two persons. Visit to Coachman District centre. Excursion in the village. Dinner. Night in the village.

Day 4. Breakfast. Departure by car to fishing site of Chokhoonoy. Further, snowmobile excursion to Lena Pillars, photo and video filming. Departure back to fishermen. Acquaintance with fishermen and their way of life. Lunch. Ice-fishing on the background of Lena Pillars, fishing nets and fishing-rods. Dinner with fishermen. Returning to Elanka. Night in the house.

Day 5. Breakfast. Departure to Yakutsk. Arrival and hotel accommodation. Lunch. Rest. In the evening transfer to Chochur-Muran area, to the complex “Expedition 1632”. Excursion in the complex, acquaintance with the history of developing Yakutia by first explorers, acquaintance with Yakut dog breed — blue-eyed Eskimo dog. Riding snowmobiles and dog sledges. Dinner in a hunting hut. Transfer to hotel. Night in hotel.

Day 6. Breakfast in a hotel. Transfer to airport.
